Dr. Patrick Jean-Pierre completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University with a focus on human biology and nutritional sciences, completing his medical school at SUNY, Upstate Medical University. Dr. Jean-Pierre undertook his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset and completed his fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital. Dr. Jean-Pierre is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Sports Medicine, and a Diplomat in Integrative/Regenerative Medicine by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine.
Dr. Jean-Pierre’s extensive hospital experience has helped him realize the true importance of prevention rather than just treatment in the case of chronic illnesses. Uniquely trained in both Internal Medicine and Anti-Aging / Integrative Medicine, Dr Jean-Pierre combines conventional Western medicine with evidence-driven holistic practice. His focus is on providing patients with highly targeted and personalized treatment and prevention plans designed to address not only the symptom but also the root cause. After assessing the patient’s health history, general health and lifestyle Dr Jean-Pierre tailors bespoke programs for each patient that incorporates conventional medicine, nutrition and exercise.
Dr Jean-Pierre is also fellowship trained in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. He treats patients of all activity levels; he is a former assistant team physician for high school and Division I college athletes. He worked closely in his fellowship under the physicians responsible for the medical care of the NFL’s Detroit Lions and MLB’s Detroit Tigers. Using a multidisciplinary approach, he will provide a comprehensive non-operative plan for the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. Dr Jean-Pierre has a special interest in the prevention of chronic injuries, exercise programs and concussion management.
