BOTOX®, Dysport and Xeomin are commonly used to reduce or eliminate the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Made from a purified protein, neurotoxins block the nerve signals that cause muscles to contract. This effect relaxes and smooths the look of lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive movements on the face—most commonly, between the brows, crows-feet around the eyes, and horizontal forehead creases. Botulinum toxin is also used cosmetically to balance facial asymmetry and relax tight neck bands, as well as medically to reduce perspiration and to treat migraine headaches and muscle spasticity.

When to Consider BOTOX:
Deep lines between your eyes make you look tired, angry, sad, or upset. Your facial expressions cause wrinkles in and around your eyes and forehead. There is asymmetry in your eyebrows or face that can be corrected by relaxing a muscle. You suffer from migraine headaches and botulinum toxin may provide relief from this condition.

Dermal fillers increase volume, soften wrinkles, enhance lips, and restore the youthful three-dimensional contours of the face. Dermal fillers are gel-like substances injected into the skin to physically lift and sculpt it, correcting wrinkles, folds, scars and asymmetries of the face.

There are many filler choices available on the market. At Hudson Wellness MedSpa we only use hyaluronan-based fillers. These products are totally biodegradable and safe. Hyaluronan is a sugar molecule found naturally in our bodies, which unfortunately we lose from our skin as we age. By injecting hyaluronan directly back into the skin at different depths, we can achieve various effects.

Dr Cortes and his team of specialist doctors use fillers to reduce lines and folds, to assist in filling out larger volume loss such as sunken cheeks, to correct ‘problems’ such as small cheekbones and chin or certain nose shapes, and even to plump up aging or bony hands.

When to Consider Fillers:

  • If you have deep lines around the eyes, brow or mouth
  • If you would like to change the contours of your jaw or lips
  • If you are interested in a minimally invasive procedure
